This event culminates a research and development project into spaces of memory and intimate narratives of the home, how we take our lares with us. The project has included home visits and interviews in London, Liverpool and Glasgow, a story surgery event in person and by email, and in the last phase a collaboration with a composer/sound artist and performers, including an open-studio–turned installation in an unoccupied flat, 64c
space of memory is supported by Arts Council England and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation

I saw this at The People Show in Bethnal Green. It was an early evening call. First, we all self-consciously filled out our questionnaires downstairs, smoking what would be among our last ever public indoor cigarettes and sipping beer.
The performance room upstairs was warm from the rays of the sun over the day. The rhythm of the piece was seductive, the three actors moving in turn to speak through the single static SM58 while a surround sound live composition enlivened the air.
I enjoyed it and found it stimulating. I thought the themes were strong and the piece visually and acoustically attractive.
I was glad when one of the performers brought me a fresh cold beer about two thirds of the way in, which I don't think I ever paid for! Free beer: my favourite ;-)
Good luck with it, however it develops.
Dougie x
